These losses can be defined by their two components namely DC and AC losses, DC winding loss is easily analyzed by circuit analysis of the windings and are within the realm of arithmetic calculation. The flux patterns occurring in the end winding region are different from those within the core winding length. The main focus of this analysis is the winding losses, particularly those which occur in the end winding.
